Contraceptive Pill
5 Answers
I take the Cilest contraceptive pill and have a 7 day break from it every month as instructed. Is there any reason for doing this and can anyone give me a compelling reason as to why I shouldn't just go straight from one pack to the next which would eliminate the annoying bleeding bit!
Thanks in advance for your help

There was absolutely no medical reason for the break in taking pills other than the psychological one scientists imagined. Contraceptive shots, etc., now available acknowledge that women have no need for a period if they don't want to have one.
