Hideous question title sorry, basically this guy at work and I were flirting for a while when we both began working there. Then literally overnight he got a girlfriend, and became distinctly cooler. Now, a couple of months on he is still with her (one of his longest relationships!) but seems to have began flirting again. Thing is, we were getting on really well before all this and it seemed likely he would want to get together, we even discussed it a couple of times. What does this new flirting mean? Does he actually like me, or is it just the imagination of a madwoman? Cheers all

Some men do like to enjoy the flattery of flirting with a woman whom they know likes tikes them. They may even be amnoervering into a 'second string' situation, which is highly undesirable for you.

If he has a girlfriend and he is just being friendly, that's fine. If however he simply wants a little 'extra' shall we say, then don't demean yourself.

Put your energy into looking for someone you can have a civilised relationship with. Based on his perceived willingness to deceive his girlfriend, this man does not qualify for that role.
He's obviously over the honeymoon phase (3 months) with the new bird and fancies having a crack at you too, despite being 'taken for'. Avoid.
Hope this doesn't sound harsh, but I think you need to like you first before you can expext anyone else to. Don't wait around for him to give you attention, go and do what you want to be doing, enjoy your own company and that of your friends, raise your self-esteem and there will be a queue of men at your door...!

This is all really great advice, I appreciate it. Thinking am just gonna have to forget about him then! *sigh* Roll on the single men!
Be wary of relationshis with people you work with-trust me. Stay cool, don't push for anything and be sure of everything if the opportunity arises to take things further.
When you work together dynamics change when there is a relationship involved plus you also have to think of your colleagues and sometimes even your boss. I know it sounds like an odd thing to think about...but it you did get together and it went sour one of you could find that you may want to look for new employment if a situation becomes uncomfortable. Good luck
