What are subscribers' experiences or feelings about acupuncture? 18 years ago I was treated for an 'untreatable' frozen shoulder by this means with 100% success. Now I have made an appointment with the same practitioner for an 'untreatable' arthritic hip.

When I had spinal cancer ( before it was diagnosed ) I tried everything to get rid of the awful pain so as a last resort I tried acupuncture it really did ease the painbut it unfortunately it only lasted a couple of days.
I tried acupuncture a year or so ago for a long-term back problem. It seemed to give me a kind of adrenalin high but didn't help long term. If it eases discomfort it's worth giving it a go, and some people find lasting relief from it.
I prefer TaiChi for such ailments. Since I rarely see a doc as I dont like prognosis,(I probably have EveryAilmentGoing) I rely on pain-killers and taichi. I learned suffice TaiChi on a Far East holiday (comes free with the hotels)!

friends who have tried the alternative medics have yet to find one cured. They're eased temporarily but soon the ailment returns with a vengeance.
