wierd phonecalls? any explanations?

I wondered if anyone had an explanation for this, a few years ago I went away to the lake district and stayed in a cottage where there was a pay phone, I was there with my partner and children, we arrived on the saturday done all the usual stuff like unpacking had something to eat and then went to bed...the next morning on the sunday the pay phone was ringing at 8am, my partner got up and answered it and my mum was on the other end of the phone saying, You just rung me, my partner went very quiet and said we were all in bed, the wierd thing about it is, my mum didnt even know where we were staying and I hadnt called her since ide been there so no numbers were even dialled into the pay phone?!!! she said her phone had rung a couple of times then cut off, she done 1471 and this strange number come up, her and my dad checked the code and it was in the lake district, they thought something was wrong so called back...How did this happen when I didnt even call them, and the children were to young to make a phonecall so it wasnt them.

Also on another occassion my dad called my mobile and said, you just rung me, I said NO bewildered he said well my phone just rung and your name and number come up, the good thing was is my sister was sitting with me and new I had made no such call!!!

Has anyone got an explanation for these very odd calls??? I will never forget them!

That is really wierd! I'm not quite sure what to suggest for the first one!

Could your mum have been worried and called the number for something but didn't want to say?

Was there a missed call to your dad for the last one for which it could be a key lock left off jobby?

My mum didnt know where we were staying let alone the contact number!!! Also my dad was mwoing the grass when his mobile was ringing, he picked it up and it said it was me calling but then cut off and then come up with the missed call...seriously wierd! I will have to tell my mum ive wrote this post and she will confirm all what I have said, its the gods honest truth

I have to say the first one is very spooky! A pay phone calling your mum out of the blue.....She couldnt have got the number if it hadn't called her......
If you're absolutely sure your husband is not pulling your leg, and that your kids were definitely too young to diall a number...then, well! I'm spooked! lol

Just don't ever watch the films "the ring" or "one missed call" is all I have to say......

No hes not the type to play tricks like that...its got me spooked as well, my reason for writing it is me and my mum were talking about it today and ive been getting freaked out by it, so has she

My daughter is right, there was no contact from her from the cottage she was staying in, so she had not evan rang me from there, I did'nt know where she was staying, all I knew is that it was in the Lake District. we didn't have mobile phones then, it was about 12 years ago.
I will never forget the silence when her partner answered and I said you just rang me, he went so quiet and said no, we were asleep.
