hello, a few weeks ago i posted a question on here about ingroing hairs and bumps and rashes etc. that i get in particular when doing my bikini line and i have since bought the product that was suggested and it has lessened (thanx) but i've read somewhere that if i continued to wax eventually hair growth would lessen along with the unsightly rash , is this correct! If so how long would i have to continue waxing before i see a result ???? Thanx in advance xx
Well, there is a possibility that your ingrow bumps and hair growth may lessen as the hairs become less coarse, but it does depend on your skin type, and the hair so there is no guarantee. Some people are more prone to bumps than others.
I've been having Hollywood waxes for some time now, but still get bumps and I wouldn't say the hairs are any finer now than before I started waxing.
Same here - I have a Brazilian but I wouldn't say the hair is any finer when it grows back than it was before I started, which has been about 5 years now. I also get a lot of bumps, which usually means there's a hair underneath which can't grow out of the follicle, but I have a pair of needlepoint tweezers which I use to get the hairs out, which helps.
I've been getting waxed for years too, the hair on my legs are definately finer than what they were and in some areas small patches where the hair just dosn't grow there anymore.
I suspect you'd have to be doing it for a few years. I never get ingrowing hair or lumps and bumps when I wax, but I do if I have to have an emergency shave.
I was told that the more you do it, the MORE likely you are to get the lumps and bumps, because as the hair grows back finer it is more difficult for it to push through the skin. Sorry ladies.....
you must exfoliate to stop ingrowing hairs which cause the lumps and bumps. because the hair is removed from the root it is weak, and when it grows it finds it hard to break through the surface so gentle exfoliation is needed. I have been waxing legs and bikini area for 20 years and I do have bare patches on my legs where the hair no longer grows and the hair on the bikin area is much finer and takes a long time to grow. but it has taken about 15 years to get to this stage so it is not a quick result.
