I have a 1993 Turbo Diesel corsa, and it keeps overheating. There is hot air coming out of the internal heating system and if I put the fan onto hot i can lower the temperature of the engine. I have shorted out the thermoswitch on the bottom of the radiator and the electric fan comes on but the temperture stays the same, so I replaced the switch for a new one, the car still overheats. I have removed & checked the thermostat and this works fine. I have removed & checked the water pump thats fine All the water hoses top & bottom on the radiator are hot. So I have run out of ideas please help me someone

i have seen a couple of head gaskets go in my time on the 1.7 diesel, is it a vauxhall or isuzu engine?
Hi, replace the Thermos + the sender. Have you replaced anything in the cooling system? if so, an air lock.
Blocked radiator core?

Perhaps only part of your radiator is working, you'd still get hot pipes.

Its a vauxhall Engine, I've had to put some Radweld into the radiator to stop a leaking heater matrix (internal matrix), but since then I have used a Radflush to clean out the system, maybe the radiator was on its way out, or would the radweld have closed any of the water channels in the engine block ?
