Nerves about asking this girl out.
22 Answers
Wasn't too sure about where to post this but here goes.I have got to know this girl in the work place for the last 2 months & we seem to get on fine. After thinking about it for a while i decided to go today to her department & ask her out for a drink but the nerves got the better of me i'm afraid.I know this must sound daft but i don't know if i'm more nervous incase i get a knockback or when i go to ask her out i make a complete mess off it.I thought of asking her if she is free (say a certain day)would you like to go for a drink rather than just come out with do you want to go out for a drink.I'm in my late 20's & i'm sure she is a few years older than me.If anyone can give me some advice that would be great.Thanxs

better to look a fool for a day than live a lifetime of regret.
put yourself in her shoes....is she attracted to you ?if yes, then no matter how badly you ask she will still be over the moon and say yes.
i understand your hesitance - if you ask and she says no its finished but at least that way the dream lives on !
make that dream reality and doooooo it !!!!!!!
Don't know until you try. The worst thing she can say is no! Then it would just be a case of moving on. Chances are she would say yes though. I mean what girl would pass up on a free drink (ok, I'm shallow!!). Or how about making it a group after work do? Invite others and just make sure you talk to her all night and sit with her. Or maybe if you are good pals with peeps from work you can have a word in their ear and make one of them arrange it so that she agrees to go out on the group after work do and then none of them show up so it's just the two of you?
Or you could leave a note on her desk saying you felt a bit shy about asking to her face but you would really like to take her out on a date?
Ah love is in the air.....
Good luck mate!
I'd say don't go for the group option. This would make things a little worse because she might go just because its a group thing. As a bloke I know how bad it is, I only ever asked one girl out in my life, she turned me down. I wouldn't say I'm great looking but I never seemed to have to ask a girl out they sort of asked me out (I'm married now). I'd just go for it I think peps idea was the best.
do what everyone else does - wait until the xmas party tell her she's georgoussssssssss and then throw up on her shoes aaaaaaaaaah theres nothing like a bit of office romance. If you can't wait till christmas opt instead for a bit of email flirting, always a good way to waste hours at work, and then consolidate the initiative with tea and coffee making - she'll love it.
Thought i'd give u a quick up date. Finally after plucking up the courage i went down to ask her but she was with a customer i waited about but it seemed she would be sometime.Towards the end of my shift i went down & found out that she was out of the building doing an errand for someone but would be back soon.I began to think it was one of those cases that it wasn't meant to be however she is in tomorrow so i'll give it another go tomorrow.
