The Bachelors on This Morning.

OH how I wish that some of the stars from the 60's would retire gracefully before they pass their sell date. I loved The Bachelors especially dishy Con.They were on This Morning today and with his dyed hair and wrinkled sun burnt face Con looked awful. Dec was more natural. All would have been forgiven if they could still sing well but I thought it was awful.Anyone else see them.?

I had the same feelings, he looked awful and the singing was terrible.
I wonder why these old groups/singers just retire gracefully, surely they must have enough money by know?

But please don't suggest that The Stones give up yet. They are about the same age, but somehow their wrinkles look just great and their performance and music still sounds amazing. Quite a few of the sixties brigade can still out-perform the youngers. (Not the Batchelors though!!)

I agree about Con. Oh dear, what a sight!!

I don't think it's about money - I think that they just love performing and get enjoyment from it. Whilst they still get audiences then let them carry on - we don't have to listen to them.

I also agree they both looked past their sale by date and there singing really wasnt good. They did say they was asked to go back and record a CD of their old hits.

Went to see the Searchers a few months ago, brilliant entertainment, such enthusiasm and still got good voices.
OK they have aged a bit (haven't we all!) but how many of today's bands will be around in two years time let alone twenty or even forty.

Didnt see them on this morning, but noticed that they are plugging there greatest hits cd, as they were when they were younger on the cover,must be on some promotional run, they maybe too embarassed to there faces as they are now hee hee!!!!
