dodgy phone calls

Someone has been sending threatening text msgs to someone pretending to be me! I have managed to get hold of the mobile number, was wondering if anyone new how I can find out who it is?

yes call the number and ask
'who is this?'

1. With a text, you can't withhold the number, so you've got her number. Get lots of peopls to constantly phone it (preferebly men friends of yours).

2. If it's a "pay as you talk" SIM card it may be unregistered, so it's not linked to any person. However ...

3. The phone companies can "ping" any mobile - send it a signal which bounces back and pinpoints the exact location of the phone, like a SatNav. Send this person a message to say (pretend) that his/her phone has been pinged and located, and the messages should at least stop.

Keep phoning them up anonymously at 3 in the morning for a few nigts. That should stop them.

ah but maybe they wont be bothered because they are using one of those free sim cards

But even if it's a free SIM card, if you can't even switch your phone on without getting a barrage of calls all day and all night, you'll soon get the message.
