Hiya, does any one have any tips for helping your make up stay on longer? I use a very light foundation and powder over the top, but after about three hours it starts to come off. my friend sprays hairspray over her face once she's applyed it and it does stay on all day however i'm i bit worryed it's bad for your skin.

your moisturiser may be too greasy which can make your foundation slide off, try using an oil free one to reduce shine and greasynuss or you may be applying the foundation too soon after you've moisturised (its best to leave it ten mins).

I really wouldn't use hairspray on your face especially around the eye area rebecca. You need to apply a face primer before your foundation and that should last all day.Smashbox photo finish foundation primer is a good one or ask at the beauty counter at Boots. You could also try Benefit Get Even face powder that stops the shine and makes foundation last longer.
Ooh, thanks, there's some really good answers here. I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a primer, i'll go and buy some at the weekend. And no NICE CUP OF TEA, we aren't joking about hairspray, my friend actully does that, allthough i don't think i'll be trying it as god knows what it does to your skin in the long run. Thanks for all your help everyone xxx :-) xxx
