Pulled over for allegedly failing to stop on a give way line
At around 23:40 hrs yesterday, I had stopped initially behind a give way line to maintain a look out on at a junction. I then saw a head light halfway down the stretch of road coming from the left ( aprx. 100 yds) so i decided to roll in and be able to go past before it reaches the junction is a 20 mph zone. As i took off in 1st gear the car i saw suddenly emerged at the junction so I stopped and he braked aswell but rolled and stopped in front of my car to block me. Next thing I see is a police man coming out the car dramatically saying '' you nearly killed me''. I asked him but you seem to be bombing down the road quiet at a speed. He replied ''didn't you see the give way sign, you were supposed to stop''. I told him yes sir i stopped initially and had seen your headlight at a distance so I decided to clear the area before your car would reach the junction. He said to me '' look at how close your car is to mine you nearly caused an accident '' I replied but you stopped before and rolled to block me sir, you are aware. He said welli'm gonna prosecute you for failing to stop behind a giveway line. He then called for another unit. #/'When they arrived the requested for the charge or offence tables and codes and after he read through the offence was a ticket or warning. They eventually said ''lets do him for driving without due care and attention, that involves a process'' so i asked them but this wasn't what you pulled me over for? I took some pictures of the junction, wher the police car made a stop, the length to which he rolled to block my car. I took pictures of the sign at the at start of the road which clearly read 20mph zone, please drive slowly. I drove down the road at 20 mph and it took me a good 10secs to reach the junction from where the police car was when i first saw it. Do i plead guilty and get the case out of the way or with these evidence (photos) I should contest it because i strongly belive i wasn't at fault.

''didn't you see the give way sign, you were supposed to stop''
you are supposed to give way at a give way sign, you are under obligation to stop at a stop sign.
however if the tale of the "what are we going to do him for" is true... and I have no reason to doubt you.... then yes it looks like you will get stuffed.
