yes i know its only september,but can anyone give me any tips about having a different but enjoyable xmas day.i find the day itself such an anti climax i would just like to do something different to make all the effort worthwhile.(only cheap ideas please!)many thanks.

How about wrapping up warm, packing a wonderful picnic and going to a really beautiful country spot or beach. There really is very little traffic out there on Christmas day. Christmas can be just so boring, can't it? I haven't liked it since my children grew up.

You could volunteer to feed the homeless for Shelter (if you are in the UK). There are centres all over the country. This puts the normal excesses of Christmas into perspective.

Have a beach party in ur house...turn up the heating to max...invite ur friends and have them all wear bathing suits... have a buffet of summer foods....and then long cool drinks....summer music (beachboys etc) and generally have good time....start around 3pm....most people can get away from familial repsonsiblities about that time....Lots of people will come!!!!

Well, personally I really enjoy Christmas cos it reminds me of Christ coming to earth as a baby to embark on a mission that no other man has or will ever have to complete! His mission was to open the way to his Father by dying on a cross, even though he was completely sinnless and innocent! Take some time out this Christmas to think of the one who came to give us life and life eternal!!!
