Smoking (if you do) doesn't help either as you are taking in more air.
Do you get any indigestion like symptoms? If so then indigestion remedies may help as well as watching what you eat eg cutting down on fatty, greasy, spicy foods and ones which cause extra gas or indigestion may help.
Eat your meals slowly and properly - one of my problems is that during the day I eat on the run while I'm working which doesn't help as your body finds it harder to digest your food properly.
Things like anti-wind tablets can help and you can get charcoal tablets or peppermint tablets (much nicer tasting though you get minty burps :)) which can help.
If you have any other symptoms like pain in your stomach, chest or back then pop and see your GP as it can be a sign of a stomach ulcer or gallbladder problem and some other things.
