Leg pains and flying

Hi all,
I've been taking the contraceptive pill Yasmin for just over 3 months now due to bad acne (I'm 21) I used to be on Dianette but came off as I experienced side effects so severe I honestly thought I was going to die. The Yasmin was fine at first but I'm now getting horrible pains in my calf muscles that won't go no matter what I try, its even affecting my sleep. I've also noticed my legs and face have become very veiny.
I'll make an appointment with the doctor and will ask if I should come off, but when I had the dianette problems, all the doc did was put me on anti-inflammatories, saying it probably wasn't anything to do with the pill, when it clearly was.
I'm going on holiday in a few weeks and I'm terrified that flying might cause my legs to get worse, or even cause blood clots.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any advice? I'm really getting worked up :(

I've never experienced anything like that but if I were you I would definitely be changing my contraception! There is so much choice out there its just a case of finding another method to suit you. If you were only on the pill for acne, is there not anything else you could try? You need to discuss this with your doctor and don't be fobbed off
Could you see another doctor rather than the one who seemed to fob you off? What about going to the family planning clinic? Get this sorted asap for your health and so you can enjoy your holiday.

Well, I've called my doctor 5 times today, told them I've been in constant pain for 3 days and the best advice they can give me is 'call back Wednesday morning'!

I'm just going out of my mind here. A friend suggested I go to A&E, but I'm worried they'll think a bit of leg pain is a waste of their time??

Really am scared about this...
having had a clot 7 years ago due to the pill, and having just come out of hospital after anther significant clot, i would say ring NHS direct on 08454647 -they steered me right!
