After an "activity" holiday in Greece last year, which included lots of water sports, I suffered land sickness (that feeling of still being on a boat) which continued for over a week after my return home. Any ideas on prevention/cure - other than staying on terra firma!

Try travel sickness pills? It's usually an imbalance in the inner ear that makes you all woooh so i'd try that - or speak to GP/pharmacist...
It's a very long time for "land sickness" to last. I've only experienced it after spending long periods continuously on a small boat, and then only for a few hours after landing (depending of course upon alcohol consumption). I wonder if you may have had an inner ear disorder? Perhaps an infection picked up from the water? Check with your GP.
