ideas for mates 25th birthday in day

Hey guys, its my mates 25th b day coming up(2 weeks), and i want to organize something fun and a bit different to do in the day before we go out at night. There should be about 10 to 12 of us. Just thought i'd post it on here to see if anyone could come up with any ideas for what to do for mates b day in the day?

My son went on a stag weekend in Newcastle not long ago and they took in activities such as kart racing etc-perhaps there are facilities in your area which cater for this sort of thing?

ah so a pampering day would be no good :-) Paintballings always a mans thing, but girls can join in, really any competition orientated activity :-)
