paul mckenna diet book

Does anyone think this works or have lost weight on it. Id love to lose a bit of weight, I;m not huge and only want to lose about a stone. if the book just stops you snacking etc then I dont really snack, how would it work for me?

Yes I lost pounds when I bought this.
And I saved a few pounds by not buying it!
Exactly! The only pounds you will lose are pounds sterling. It's another cash in for the gullible and desperate. Don't waste your money.

thats why I wanted to hear from anyone that had bought it. I didnt say I was going to just wondered how it worked
I've got the book and it comes with a cd. It's ok got some good ideas but didn't really work for me as I have no willpower! Tells you to listen to your body and only eat when hungry common sense really and if I'd known that is all is goes on really I wouldn't have bothered buying it.

see that wouldnt work for me then, I dont snack, I exercise but I stay at the same weight
I apologise 4get - I was just being flippant. Seriously we all know how to lose weight really and maybe self help books or whatever may help but I'm not a fan of Paul Mckenna - I just think he's a money making machine praying on people's weaknesses.

thats ok :-) I just think it would help More with someone with an eating problem like smoking and get it into someones head not to crave food
When it comes to eating I think if you have a craving (as is often the case with dieting because you want what you can't have and this is why most "diet books" are limiting) don't deny it. Have a snack if you want it but make it healthy .
I used to keep little tubs in the fridge with chopped melon, carrot and cucumber sticks, washed grapes etc so if I felt peckish I didn't grab the nearest biscuit or packet of crisps. That way you don't feel guilty and the hungry feeling passes quite quickly. Also instead of eating the same amount as my hubby at dinner I used a largeish side plate so that it looked piled with food but was actually about 1/2 of what he was having. Ask the rest of the ABers for tips and you'll save a fortune on get thin books. There is no quick fix but if it's done gradually the weight will stay off.

I dont want to buy the book. I just wondered why I cant use weight/ as I said I dont snack and would see I eat less than 2000 calories a day so what else can I do.
I'm not a great believer in diet books. I think Michael Winner had the best idea - eat less.

4get, to lose weight I think you need to be on 1500 calories a day.

yes I probably am. I've also done cereal diet nothing. I exercise too. I wonder if I just wont ever get below 10 stone

i;m just spot on the overweight/adequate and I just would like to on tummy and legs. maybe I need to tone rather than lose any weight. I exercise alot so maybe that where I cant lose weight became I'm gaining muscle

just read you message on FB. I need to drink lots more water every day I think I will drink the amount I should and am always too busy
I agree with mrs_o.

I also watched a programme where Michael Winner said his weight loss was solely due to eating less, eating sensibly & walking more. (Easier said than done for some).

I'm fortunate enough to have slim family genes, so have never needed to diet, but if I did, I certainly wouldn't waste money on diet books.

Having said that, my cholesterol is quite high, but wih the help of my GP, walking & swimming, it's gradually coming down!
