compulsive liars

Bit of a weird one, but im home and bored...

why do some people compulsively lie????
what i mean is... people who make up silly stories for no reason at all??? i just dont get it,

i have known a few...

first one, a friend i met when we were 10, she told me things like " i used to have a twin sister but she died in a parachute jump" bearing in mind she was 10 when she told me this!!!! how old were they when they went parachuting!! and she used to be black???? and just stories like this all the time!! she was a kid so fair enough,

but some people i work with blatantly lie about stuff all the time, stupid stuff!! as if i havent known them for years and know they are lying!! lol

is anyone out there a compulsive liar? who can maybe explain why they do it?
has anyone else got "friends" or colleagues that lie through their teeth????

we all tell little white lies but why make up stuff that people are just never going to believe anyway????

i think we shared the same friend onlyme! Mine fabricated a whole bloody family. It was incredible and we all fell for it until bits and bobs sort of came out and we began to suss her out. Thing is, she wasnt mentally stable and it all sort of came out as she got a bit older. Really quite sad when i look back that she had to live in a fantasy world to feel she was accepted. In face she relished the fact that we all listened to these stories and we taken in by them .

I know what you mean, I know a few people that over elaborate on their lives or adventures, not sure why they do it, maybe they want to be seen as more interesting or exciting.

maybe they feel the need to capture peoples attention?

haha i do kinda understand why kids do it, they like to show off and they like the attention! but grown ups!!

i worked with this guy and after about 3 months he started going about with this girl who worked there to, they were together for about 13-14 months and she got pregnant, everyone was really happy and excited for them, anyway i bumped into him in the lift and i was congratulating him and asking him if was all excited and looking forward to the baby and he says..... yeah but was dead shocked only been with her 3 weeks when she got pregnant!!!!!

errr HELLO, I HAVE WORKED WITH BOTH OF YOU FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF!!! LOL

he is terrible, it just rolls off the tounge!!! lol

I said the same thing yesterday to Daniel Craig as we sipped dry martinis whilst j lo gave us both foot massages.


Cant understand why folk do it .

im so glad that im not the only person on the planet that knows a compulsive liar, my daughter never stops , and it causing so much trouble, nobody believes a word she says, but that the easy bit, when ever anyone says that she not telling the truth she gets angry and starts shouting and arguing with who ever is around at the time, it has got so bad that nobody wants her at any family occations, she has caused so much trouble within the family with her constant lies that even her grandparents talk bad of her, and now her 4yr old daughter is doing the same, we all believe that if she was too see a councellor she would lie to them as well, any advise

i have no idea! i really dont understand,
i dont sympathise with you tho, fortunalty my daughter doesnt lie, she is too honest for her own good lol but i do know another little girl who lies for britain, and i just dont understand why, its stupid things like

ive been on the x factor ( shes 10)

someone died in school today but she is ok now, "omg did they call an ambulance?" no she was fine after about 15 minutes!!

i beat my teacher up today

i have 10 boyfriends

bla bla bla but thats kids for ya!!! tho when it comes to serious things, who knows if she is teling the truth or not!! lol

also ppl i work with!! crist!! get a life you big liars!!

i cant even begin to guess why they do it!!
