Dogs itching

I have been told that Benadryl allergy medication will help my dog's itching. Does anyone know if this medication can be used safely on dogs? Thanks.

You can use the tablets, but definitely not the liquid form.

Really depends on whats causing the itching. My dog is allergic to distmites and its a real nightmare. I use atopica and piriton. and have just about got it under control. I have taken lots of anti dust mite measures in the house also. Nothing worse than watching your dog rip itself to bits scratching.
