Seriously difficult to answer I'm afraid. I think the best way is to talk to girls who are interested in similar things to you. That will give you something to talk about (the most difficult part in my opinion). Then once you find a girl you like ask her out, easy if your interested in the same things. Lets say you like art, join and art club then once you meet a nice girl say your going to a local gallery and ask if she would like to join you, then before the event say "he we could maybe get some lunch or have a picnic" if she responds positively you may be on to something. If the "date" goes well then you would be in a good position to ask again but this time drop the link with the art, on the first "date" you should have got enough info to find something else she likes.
