My dad says the water you have in the bathroom and the water you have in the kitchen are different, and the bathroom water can harm animals if you give it to them. Is this true?
Not sure if it would harm animals, but, yes the water is different, only because the water in the bathroom has usually been stored in a roof tank and may have been there a few days. (don't panic..its fine for baths/showers etc.)What in in the kitchen has come straight from the mains and is as fresh as it can be.
Hope that help make it clearer.
In my house (UK) the cold water, both upstairs and downstairs, comes from the mains and is safe to drink. The ********, both upstairs and downstairs, comes from the hot water tank and shouldn't be drunk unless boiled first.
the tap water from both up and downstairs loo have high levels of chlorine which is bad for animals. put the water in a bucket and leave it over night this should reduce the amount of chlorine in the water.
Good answers from Wraith and Miss.
Leave water direct from the mains overnight to let our so-called purifying agents evaporate.....especially important if you`re topping up a tropical fish tank.
