Broken Toe.. Numbness & Coldness.. very worried!
3 Answers
I have just found out that I have broken my toe, after 3rd visit to A&E in ALOT of pain. Staff very unhelpful, have given me no information, I don't know whether i should be:
Resting or walking on it?
Going to work?
Driving?
Also since the accident the foot that the broken toe is on, has constently been freezing cold but the unhelpful A&E staff just brushed it aside. Should I be worried and go to the doctors or the bigger A&E nearest me?
Many Thanks

Did they check all your foot on the x-ray for fractures?

Depends on which bone in the toe is fractured. If it is the terminal phalanx ( end small bone) then no treatment is required and if the pain is not too bad then go to work or drive and take anti-inflammatory drugs....ibuprofen or voltarol. If it is the metatarsal bones, which I doubt, then that is a different "ball game" and needs an orthopaedic opinion.
