It's not going to be easy if he isn't atrtracted to you in the first place, but you need to find out if he is interested. When you talk to him, smile, and hold eye contact just a little longer than usual, if you are talking in a group, make eye contact often, and smile. This should indicate your interet, and you can see if he responds. If he's interested, he'll get the message, and respond. If not, you can accept that and move on, dignity intact.
