Dicolfenac for back pain.
10 Answers
Having been unable to stand up or walk for weeks now, I am finally succumbing to the fact that I will have to take drugs-anti-inflammatories, to help me walk again. Thing is, as I have ulcerative colitis (ulcers in colon) I am not really supposed to take them. Has anybody else tried Diclofenac or Voltaren, and had any adverse effects? Has it worked?

Voltaren is just a brand name given to the generic name Diclofenac, so they are one and the same. They DO cause severe stomach irritation and Ulceration so people who have ulcerative problems should stay well away from them. There are stronger anti inflammatories that are more gentle on the stomach. However as a general rule, make sure you take anti inflammatories with food. This will "dilute" their effect on the lining of the stomach and intestines.
