Do you still sit down together with family for Sunday lunch/dinner any more?

We used to always have a roast on a Sunday and everyone would sit at the dinner table, no t.v. no radio, but have not done this for ages and I wondered if any of you still have a 'traditional' Sunday? :)
Says me that has just had a stir fry whilst settling down to last nights X Factor!

Yep....eat together till kids start seniors. Then its football/rugby/netball all on Sundays, not to mention obligatory church to appease schools.
Family Sunday meals scuppered! Never to recover - thank goodness as 'tis too much work while OH in pub, return for beef & yorkies then sleep. While slave-wife cleans up!

Hi weeal!! Hope you are well xx, When I was growing up we used to have a big dining table that had an extendable middle (think I have one of those now btw!) and we all sat around the table, every one had their normal place and we took the time to talk. There were 7 of us! I have a dining table in the kitchen but theres rarely more than one person sitting down to a meal at a time nowadays.
always did when I was younger and still living at parents, and although it's just the two of them now my parents still do, every Sunday, they will lay the table properly and sit down together for a Sunday roast.
If I go to see them on a Sunday I will join them and sit down for a proper meal around the table.
I think it's a shame that not many kids these days have the chance to sit round a table with the family and have a proper meal with out a TV being on. TV is probably the biggest killer of conversations ever.
