I'll be honest, I read the first page and got half way thru the second and stopped reading so someone else might have said it already.
I can't say I would defnitely say no, in the case of Maxine Carr, if my husband told me he had abused/ murdered two girls I'd be heading for the hills (via the local cop shop obv), not lying for him.
It depends on if he was being honest with me, who he killed, why he killed and probably how aswell (if he shot or stabbed someone for example I would want to know what the hell he was carrying a gun or knife for) - it's easy to say that there is no excuse for murder, but if he killed a paedophile, or rapist, or some other awful person, then I would consider lying for him, as long as he was honest with me.
I saw a case recenty where a man in his 40s was found beaten to death, it turned out that he was a convicted paedophile, and the man arrested for the murder was a father of a victims. Almost without a doubt I would provide his alibi in this instance.
B00, no offence love, but I don't think I have ever seen you post such a deep topic(ed) question!
