Flashbacks - do I have a problem?
3 Answers
Should I be worried that I keep having flashbacks from moments in my life from years ago keeping me from sleeping?
I'm feeling it a bit at the moment as I've been umemployed for 7 weeks now, not that I haven't tried getting a job it's just not happening for me. But I'm struggling to sleep at night now when I get into bed my partner is fast asleep and I just keep having flashbacks in my head from moments years ago.
Like for example, tonight I relived the moments from being nervous about being in the junior school plays (some 16 years ago!!) and the days I got my GCSE and A-level results.
My lack of activity (other than job hunting) means I have been struggling to sleep for 7 weeks now as I never feel tired anymore and now recently these thinking things over or more recently these flashbacks are making it harder to sleep.
Should I be worried ... does this mean anything?

When I'm stressed I have strange recurring dreams which usually involve some kind of education where I've not done enough revising or not attended or missed an exam which, makes me panicky in the dream which i think is my subconscious panic about something coming out such as if I've got a ridiculous amount on at work.
They're often very vivid and it takes me a while to realise it is just a dream.

You're in a habitual introspective mood....not on the wacky-backy?
Change this mood; stuff ear-plugs in and play Ipod/read a book/Answerbank anything to distract yourself.
Stay positive....with every heartbeat a new door opens; choose one to walk into and see where it leads. Good luck....my wishes for work for you go with this reply.
