Reading a Bill Bryson book I was suprised to find that he is another American terrified of Body Hair on women. Is this caused by some historical Trauma do you think ?

Haven't read that one.
Bryson has a beard, doesn't he? Maybe he thinks hair=men, smooth=women.
Lil O'Lady, if you ever come across an old book called Crazy Salad by Nora Ephron (she later went into movies and wrote When Harry met Sally) there's a piece in it called Dealing with the, uh, Problem which is brilliant. It's about the creation of the first vaginal deodorant and how women had to be made to think they stank.
