Can you take homeopathic remedies at the same time as taking painkillers (paracetamol) or shouldn't you mix the two? Homeopathic remedy is Rhus Tox by the way. Still trying to find something to ease my horrible horrible sciatica!

Rhus Tox is poison ivy - are you taking it internally or as a cream or gel applied to the skin?

There doesn't seem to be any problem taking parecetamol with Rhus Tox

Taking it internally - little pills - got them from Holland & Barratt. Haven't started taking them yet mind in case I did something I shouldn't.
Taking any homeopathic pill won't have any effect on a pain killer- they're fine. Rhus Tox is given generally to help reduce inflammation. You could also try devils claw, rose hip or tumeric, which all help with inflammation. I take rose hip from Holland and Barrett- open the capsules and sprinkle the powder on my cereal. It really does seem to have helped. Long term, operating on the disc can help sciatica, as it is the protruded bit of disc pressing on the nerve that causes it. But also you could just wait. I had sciatica for a good long time, but eventually it went away; the protruding bit often dries up and is absorbed into the body. The leg pain then goes away!
