Maybe you have to be a bit devious here. Plan and save for an exit, after all you could (with loads of effort) not bring it to a head by confronting him. This would give you time to sort out an alternative.

In the meantime, lots of headaches!!!!

not able to work so cant stay as not married. just dont know what to do once in the uk. where to turn, dont want to end up on the streets and dont think i am strong enough to rebuild my life straight away ie get a job to support myself. a crumbling mess at the moment but not healthy to stay in the relationship.

usa, i could stay with a friend but really not ideal with lots of kids around ,just want to be on my own to sob my heart out, get it out of my system with no one around me then try to move on. anyone else been in a similar situation, if so, how did you pull yourself together without bothering others?

Bubbles, you say he is "still" cheating on you. Would this suggest he was cheating on you before you moved abroad with him?

Unfortunately if he has cheated on you previously and is still doing it probably means he will always be like this and you will never have any happiness with him.

The only solution, however hard it is, would be to make a clean break and return to the UK, where you can be with people who really care for and love you. Hopefully you have a strong support network of close family and friends here.

I would have said anything you do behind your partner's back, which involves intimacy of any kind, whether it's face to face, writing to them, texting or telephone conversations can be construed as cheating.

Even if Bubbles's partner has never met this other person in the UK, the fact he is corresponding with her would to me, mean there is some kind of intent there. If the E mails are intimate in a sexual or romantic way, then he obviously is not happy in the relationship and is clearly seeking something else.

I expect few women would need to ask, "how does someone cheat by e mail"!!
