ovulation

i have been to the drs to be checked out, i have no water infection, and no signs that anything else is up, but, on a regular basis i am having problems with going to the toilet. theres no burning or anything to indicate as i said above that anything is up, but after keeping a record for a few months i found that i was getting this problem around my ovulation time. it starts without warning, and it is that bad with having to go to the loo, that i will often go, flush and wash and as im leaving bathroom i have to go again, i always go properly, not just a little bit, and this goes on for 2-3 days, i feel bloated when this is happening as well, and on average i will get up to the loo about 20-25 times in the night alone not counting the evening. as you can imagine this is stressfull and very upsetting. is this anything to do with me ovulating at this time, and if so is there anything that i can do to help, i drink plenty of water, and i'm never excessive with it, i drink the right quantity of cranberry juice each day. will going on the pill help? by the way i'm not pregnant. please help!

There's nothing wrong with you it's a very common thing, although most women get it just before their period and it's nothing to do with an infection. To be honest being on the pill might just move it to the more common time of the month so it won't cure the problem.
Go back to the Doctor with your records of just how often you are urinating and insist on seeing a specialist either a Gyno or Urologist if he can't help you any further. Having to get up 25 times per night seems excessive and is horrible for you. I suffered for years with increasingly severe period pain to which my GP's only answer was go on the pill. When I insisted I would not go on the pill but that I couldn't function in my life as I was not sleeping etc , he finally prescribed me some pa killers which have utterly changed my life. You don't say how long this has been going on for but I assume it has not been ever since you started your periods. I get water retention but I maybe get up one or two times once my period starts.
