Growth
5 Answers
I'm 15 years old and was just wondering about growth since it's, as its bound to be, a hot topic in school with the lads...
I shot up like a year or two ago but havn't really grown since and all my friends have caught up and beyond =[
I do ALOT of excerise including press ups and sit ups with my football club and at home...someone told me that can stunt your growth but when i ask our football fitness coach he said he'd never heard the rumour...
Does anyone know what can effect growth and how it all works ? Would just be interested to know !
Cheers

Am not sure there is anything you can actually do to increase your height, other than exercise and maintaining a healthy diet. At 15 you still have lots of growing time left. I remeber guys at my school who were quite short wen we left, and have seen them since and they well shot up! I think its mainly down to nature and genetics, and unfortunately there is nothing you can do to change that!
Yep, biccy... you will end up the height you are meant to be... you can do extra exercise to develop those pecs etc but to be honest, most girls go for a guy's mind and attitude, not what physical size he is. When I was at school (errr, far too many years ago) the most popular person was actually not that good looking or attractive, but she had the most beautiful smile and always made everyone feel really good about themselves.... When I went to Uni, once again the really nice people were the ones you wanted to actually spend some time with cos they made you feel nice about yourself. So, the moral of the tale is, be yourself, be honest and fair and treat others as you would like to be treated... you will soon find that you have a load of lovely mates (both boys and girls). Physical growth won't really matter to any of you in a few years time.
I agree with jugglering. It's all about self-perception. If you are confident in yourself and don't walk round apologetically, people see you differently. My daughter always went out with guys who were over 6' tall, mainly because they were over 6'tall! The relationships were always disastrous. She now has a partner who is the same height as her (she can't wear high heels anymore!) and she couldn't be happier!
Yeah you guys are right !
I don't do excerses for look really, nor do i care about high for look its just in terms of football coz i have aspirations to become a footballer =]
tough but worth a try
i just wanted to make sure i wasn't effecting my physical side and doing myself harm !
You guys have the right idea though...one i will definately keep in mind anyway...
