Copper bracelets

I have psoriatic arthritis and my hands used to swell greatly. Last summer I started using a copper bracelet with magnets and the results have been tremendous. The arthritic pains have eased, and my hands no longer swell - to the point my wedding ring actually slipped off my finger once. No effects on the psoriasis though. I can thoroughly recommend such a bracelet. Do any other Abers have experiences, good or bad, with these?

I had really bad tennis elbow in both arms, so bad that it kept me awake. The doc prescribed strong painkillers but they didn't agree with me, so, as a last resort I bought a magnetic bracelet. It worked an absolute treat! I also bought one for my daughter who was suffering from RSI. Since wearing hers she's had no problems at all. I didn't buy a copper one though in case it turned my skin green. Most of them now are really pretty.

That's great Masma. I agree they are pretty now - which is a bit of a turn off for us blokes, but the copper ones tend to tarnish eventually and aren't so noticeable. I'm hoping other sufferers will read this thread and buy one - it sounds hocum but you and I both agree they work!! One word of warning though - I bought one for my wife and she came out in a rash - she is alergic to nickel and the magnets or the metal used to hold them in place, contain this.

Where did you get your copper bracelet from and how much was it?
I want one too but want a recommended one rather than just choosing one at random from a shop!

Hi Chazza, sorry I couldn't reply yesterday. I bought mine in an opne air market in Fuengerola - so I wouldn't worry too much. Most chemists, includiing Boots, and health shops sell them. The copper is supposed to be good for the arthritis and my boss's son wears one all the time. I wanted a magnetic one for the swelling. I think mine cost about �15 (in funny money). As barney1966 says, they may not work for everyone, but all I cansay is the initial result was dramatic and rapid for me (my wedding ring falling off my finger the next day). But the benefit generally has been slow and steady. Now and again I get a twinge for which I take 1X200mg ibuprofen (I think 4 times in the last 12 months) but I was once on strong steroids!!
