Hi I have been quoted 4300 for an Invisalign Brace just wondering if that is normal and if anyone else has one and could share what they are like?

would really appreciate any help!

Can't really afford it and know I need it but want to know what it will be like?

Cheers

Is that the kind of brace which sits completely over your teeth and is transparent?
I presume that is the cost for two arches? If so, certainly sounds like top dollar London prices.

Maybe you should get one or two more quotes.

yes for top and bottom and is completely transparent

the only thing about getting other quotes is i got charged 50 just for a consultancy check up! can't afford that everytime I want a quote!!!!!
If you really must have them, and it saves you a thousand pounds, consider it money well spent.

Oh Id efinately need them but if i go somewhere else and they alsocharge me 50 to then say its 4300 then its money poorly spent!!!!

sigh.....
Yes, at least then you will know that you can't really afford it.

Its not a case of affording it though I NEED them otherwise i have real chance of losing my teeth so I need to find the money from somewhere!
Ok, so save yourself 50 by spending 4,300.
i got quoted aroung 3200 for the invisalign with a free consultation. the price is the same, whether you want to straighten 2 teeth or ALL your teeth. this is because you need to change the aligners every couple of weeks and they send the new measurements to America where they're made and shipped from.
Also you need to wear them 23 hours a day.

i want this doing too but i'm the same and can't currently afford it.

check it out on wikipedia
They do dentistry at my local hospital. A private consultant should be able to recommend treatment on NHS.
hi just wondering what the problem is that will cause you to loose your teeth if you dont have them straightened?? i wore a standard brace for nearly a year when i was 18 as i had 2 teeth that sat back a bit and it really did the trick, the problem is that after your teeth are straight you have to wear the retainer ALOT or your teeth will move, thats what happened to me and i was back to square one so in january on a routine dentist visit i asked what other options i had, 4 wks later i walked out with perfectly atraight teeth thanks to thineers, veneers but thinner and very good lifespan for them, also only cost me 390. worth thinking about if its more for your own confidence etc

my front teeth go inwards and are scraping the gum away from the bottom front teeth. There will be nothing there to support them in 10 yeras time the dentist said.

If they put veneers on I would break them because of how my gums are situated.

Cheers for all the help guys think I just have to go ahead with it!!!
