Can anyone identify this movie?

I remember seeing a movie about 30 years ago on TV.

The basic plot outline that I can remember is there was a plane crash in the desert; a group of US people thought they had landed but as the movie progressed it became apparent that they had died. As rescue teams found their bodies, each 'survivor' disappeared.

This was a black and white movie and I would guess that it was from the mid to late 50's, possibly early 60's.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

LZ. I think the movie you are thinking about is flight of the Phoenix./with jimmy stewart. I think that is it. If not I will check with another older movie buff i know

No recall. Its not 'Flight of the Phoenix', definately 'Sole Survivor'. (NB This is one of the most frequently asked questions on AB...and they still won't re show it on TV!)
