Laying Lino in the kitchen
5 Answers
I am thinking of having Lino in my kitchen fitted by Allied carpets fitters. Currntly I have hard self glued vinyl tiles which I will remove. The hardboards underneath will leave glue marks. Now question is can the fitter lay the Lino over it or will they have to remove or whatever before laying the new Lino. I am just trying to save extra charge from the fitters. Can I lay lining paper over the hardboard and then they can lay it? Any suggestions please Thanks

You will end up with uneven bumps/lumps under the lino if you're not careful.
You may have to get a scraper and do it yourself to save time/money and an unsatisfactory result.
Why not contact them and ask them if they would remove the glue & at what extra cost?
