halo 3

A bit embarrasing question this but I have just completed the second bit (i think) on Halo 3 and i am stuck :(.
I have killed all them flying bees in the control center and now i dont know what to do. One of the guys on my team just tells me to go to the control center, but i am already in it. I traced every where i came from and cant get back up to where i originally was with that woman :(
Anyone help?
