back hip buttock groin pain

I have over the last week suffered severe pain in my lower back, the bony bit to one side, buttock, hip, groin and front of thigh resulting in altered sensation to front of thigh. The doctor said it was muscular and the chiropractioner says its my sacrioliac joint. Any body had similar symptons and if so how did you get it treated. I am due to start and new job next week and worried about how I will cope with having this pain at same time.
