Tell me about it, I'm sat here with tissue stuffed up each nostril to stop the mucus dribbling down my face. My head hurts, my throats raw, eyes are running and i ache all over.

All i can do is keep taking the paracetamol and hope its over soon.

I cant see myself at work tomorrow which would be a bonus except that will mean a long day on tuesday to catch up.

Hope you recover soon.
Some Friar's Balsam in a mixing bowl with boiling water, place bowl on table, sit with your head bent over the bowl & a towel over your head to form a little tent. Inhale the hot steam.
Then use the rest of the water in the kettle to warm up some whisky, honey & lemon - don't inhale it, drink it!
Hope you feel better soon.
Many people recommend honey in hot water. Eases the throat well. I always add a capfull of cider vinegar to take out the sweetness a bit. At bedtime I might add a measure of whiskey!!
day nurse and sudafed never work for me - the best I find is nu-cron (or might be mu-cron). Get in chemist - I find it very good.

Didn't there used to be something called contact 4000? lots of little balls in a capsule that used to dry up a snotty nose.

And cut down on dairy products, especially milk, as it seems to produce more snot. Does anyone know why?
Drink loads of water, simple but effective. More effective if you start when you feel a cold starting, but still works during a cold.
get yourself a vapouriser from boots - about 7.99 and plug in next to your bed. Absolutely brilliant!
there is no cure let nature take its corce, take tablets for the pain
