high blood pressure?

My mum takes high blood pressure tablets aswell as cholestral tablets is it safe for her to take the herbal tablet zen? I asked a boots pharmasist and she looked at me gone out.my mum wont go to the doctors.any advice.please.

I'm not a herbalist, but I've never heard of a herbal remedy called Zen. What's it taken for?

zen is a herbal remedy for anxeity,its new and was reccomended in a magazine.

what does "looked at me gone out" mean? I would think it is OK, so long as this Zen doesn't contain St John's wort, which is the only herbal remedy that has clinically significant interactions with prescribed medicines and thier associated conditions.

Looked at me gone out means she looked baffeld she didnt have a clue what i was on about,at the time i asked her though i didnt realise zen was a new herb thats just come out so she.d probably never heard of it.any way i think me mums not going to bother with it,but thankyou for your replys.
