Dianette to Marvelon

Hi,

I have been on the Dianette contraceptive pill for 2 months and my body really isn't suited to this pill. Suffering from really bad side effects and so want to change back to my previous pill Marvelon. I am halfway through my 7 day break and want to start taking Marvelon on Monday. Will I still be protected against pregnancy with this switch and 7 day break??

Any help is much appreciated! Flying abroad to see my boyfriend on Monday!

No idea, I suggest you ring NHS Direct and ask for expert advice.

I would have thought so because surely its the same as you taking Dianette again. I think that no matter what pill you take you are still protected in the same way.
It would be very unlikely you would get pregnant at that time of the month anyway if you've just had a period.
