Back and shoulders problem..

Lately Ive noticed really red, sore spots all over the back of my shoulders and top of my back - I dont usually get these and its not a massive deal but I was wondering if anyone knew a way to either get rid of them, or at least reduce the redness? Ive tried antiseptic creams and things but no luck - any ideas appreciated!

The best thing is to wear a loose top and go and show a pharmacist, who will be able to check and recommend. we did the same thing for my OH who didnt want to see a doctor.
If you dont want to do that, the main thing is not to pick at them! Try to let them heal, maybe apply tea tree oil or a spot treatment to dry them up, then use a SMALL amount of HC45 cream which you can buy over the counter which will aid healing.

The best way of curing them is to find out what is causing them.
Do you mean acne type spots? If so, using an antibacterial shower wash like sanex or carex might help with a mildly abrasive massage sponge.
Also make sure your skin can breathe, loser clothing round there and try more cotton type fabrics rather than synthetic. Even a light vest could help.
Depending on how long your hair is, things like conditioner and other hair products can get on the skin and leave it greasy and more prone to spots. Think when you've washed your hair as well and put product on if it's on bare shoulders.
I find Clinique toner for blemish prone skin is great for sore spots. Just dab a little bit on and it works wonders. It's pricey but really does last for ages as you only need to use it sparingly.
Cleansing can also be a good idea if the skin there gets greasy (especially if you get hot a lot and sweat around there). Just cleanse like you would your face with a gentle unperfumed cleanser. A mask for unclogging pores is also possible though you may need some help to apply it and wash it off properly.
Drink lots of water to flush your system through and make sure you have enough essential fatty acids to make sure you're making the most of it (eg if you drink loads but still don't feel properly hydrated try a decent EPA supplement).
To give you a kickstart, many beauty places do a back cleansing treatment which might help it and they can probably give more advice based on seeing your skin.
