This may seem trivial but I have a lump on my finger. its on the inside of the knuckle. its about a quarter of the size of a pea and it doesnt hurt to bend or move the finger but hurts like hell when i knock it. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?
If it is a ganglion, as it sounds, try getting a friend to whack it very hard with a heavy book, while your hand is on a strong table. It sometines ruptures them and they go away - I did this decades ago with one on my hand, which I waited months for a hospital appt to remove, and when I got there they wouldn't do it cos I was pregnant. I was so annoyed I went home and battered it.
Thought I'd let you know in case you're interested. I saw the doctor today and he had no idea what the lump is. I said that I was thinking of sticking a needle in it to see what comes out and he said "that's a good idea". So he did that and just blood came out and the lump went. But by the time i got home the bleeding had stopped and the lump was back, so now i've got a lump and a bruise.!!
