Can friends ever be lovers?
39 Answers
Just would like to know ABers opinion on this topic. Has anyone been mates with someone, then been in a relationship with them? How did it happen? Did one just tell the other how they felt? How was the break up? Friends again? Also, what if the friend didnt feel the same way, did the friendship regain strength?
I always seem to be mates with the girls I like, by which I am already in the 'friends zone'! I feel like I have more to gain then loose?

The thought of sex with a friend always left me on a high, so why not. When I got fed up, I just txt her to say it was over, saved all that emotional blackmail. I still wanted to be friends, but her mates turned her against me. Funny thing is, I'm with one of them now, another friend. Just get out of it what you can, without becoming emotionally involved.

I sleep with one of my best friends occasionally. She's on her own and can't be bothered living with a bloke again after two failed marriages and loads of live in blokes. She enjoys her own company but likes someone to cuddle up to now and again. We look at it as purely recreational...like going bowling or to the cinema....but free!
I've dated a friend, but it took me a long time to ask her out. We dated on and off for years. My wife isn't too keen on her, and doesn't understand that she's my oldest friend. I wouldn't go back to her again, but we're still good friends. She's getting married this year, so it's all ended well in my case.
Good luck, and if you really like a girl, go ahead and ask her out!

I would love to say you guys have helped, but you haven't!
It seems like a case by case situation. However, I really wanna know how to 'crank it up to the next level'! As I mentioned earlier do you just mention it over dinner? Or while dancing in a club? Or will the time feel right?
Probably the best advice is not to have female friends at all and just date every person you fancy!
