CHRONIC HEADACHES
10 Answers
HYA! i went to my mum and dads, on friday afternoon... by saturday afternoon i had developed a killer of a headache.... aspirins...paracetamol...nuro fen did absolutely nothing to help it. i also state that im an epileptic though the medicine i take for that SOMETIMES gives me headaches.... i returned back to my house this afternoon.... and within a few hours the headache has gone. my mother thinks that it could be to do with there central heating... (as they have it on all the time) we have central heating but keep it on a timer ( so its off when noone is in the house) DOES anyone know if central heating like this can cause headaches??? it sounds kinda silly to me, but cant ignore the fact that when i come back over to my house the headache is gone!!

Do your parents have any gas appliances that could be leaking carbon monoxide?
It happened to me...so I remember the vile headaches very well. I used to feel awful & then better when I went out. Transco came & checked the boiler & told me it was lethal...I could have died. Scary, but I thought I should mention it just incase x
I suffer from migraines, could this be the cause of your headaches? Most pain killers will do nothing to get rid of them!
There are different severities of migraines, some only last a few hours, some last days. Some aren't as painful as others.
Look out for an inability to bear light, flashes of light in the eyes, numbness in your body, (particularly hands)
feeling nauseous and actually being sick, speech being slurred. These are all the warning signs of a most severe migraine, which is what i get. But it sounds to me like you may of had a mild migraine, as my dad suffers from those type, A few hours sleep is usually the only way to get rid of them. Also common triggers are, stress, missing meals, eating chocolate, cheese, bananas, oranges, caffeine or drinking things like coke. I hope you find out what is causing the headache. If it happens again, go to your gp.
