She may be busy with doctors appointments, etc. though Squaddy. I just felt so sorry for the little girl and for Sheribee. It's so awful when your child is ill and you are worried out of your mind, especially when a GP is not understanding.

I hope she sees this and let's us know.

Ethel an lofty.......let's look at what we know:
1) girl aged 9
2) genital disorders ..clitoris problem for months.
3) Fanciful diagnosis by ABers including myself.
4)Distraught mother...with good reason.
5) 47 sympathetic replies from ABers
6) Allegedly unsympathetic medical staff.
7) No feed back as yet.

Isn't the diagnosis staring us un the face?

Seeing monsters where there are none, squad. It would be very strange abuse to cause that particular problem, and there are many medical reasons that are far more probable.

Not so Ethel...the description of the genital lesions are indeed compatable with trauma.

I agree that there are more likelier diagnsis, but that doesn't exclude mine.

I may be proved wrong, but I bet that we hear no more of sheribee.

I don't agree with you Squaddy,which I found quite worrying. Sheribee used to work in a hospital in a gynea ward, and is quite an intelligent person. I don't think she would be so anxious, worried upset about the doctor being so lax if your thoughts were correct. She was crying out for a diagnosis.

Personally I think that, like myself!, Sheribee is a rather anxious person and needs to seek immediate help to allay her fears - hence her posting on here.

Once her fears have been allayed she moves on and doesn't give AB another thought. She didn't come back on the question I have given a link to.

Mother is quite an intelligent person as you say, but intelligence does not make their offspring immune from sex abuse.

I don't think sexual abuse has anything at all to do with intelligence Squaddy, but I still think Sheribee would have suspected it if it was, and wouldn't be posting what she has on here.

By the age of 15yrs 1in 4 girls will be sexually abused that is 25%
Mother is looking for reassurance, but knowing the diagnosis.

I get back to my original point, 7months of undiagnosed genital problems with unsympathetic medical staff to a fellow worker in the NHS..........unlikely.

squad I really don't think you should be suggesting something like that without any concrete evidence. How an earth will poor sheribee feel if she does happen to see this thread? Just because she hasn't replied doesn't mean she or someone else is guilty of sexually abusing her child.
Of course there could be a tiny tiny chance you are right but I don't think you are.
