Changing email address

Does anyone know if it is possible to change my email address? I know it is possible to have more than one, but I am worried there will be a trace of me if I keep my old one as the main address. I need to change my identity completely as there is one person who is becoming a bit of a stalker. I can inform all my old friends of my new address so that would be no problem.

Just get a new email address and don't access your old one any more.

I assume you mean the one that comes with your ISP's account?

if it's the desigated owner account ... the answer is maybe
I'm with BT and you can change everything except your logon ID

and delete auxilliary accounts and create "sacrificial" accounts for spam catchers

Can you not just delete the email address you wish to relinquish? Or else simply no longer access it. An abandoned account becomes the tree that falls in the forest when no one is around to hear it.
The more crucial concern is to be cautious of who you trust with the new one.
