asthma/allergy n dog breeds

My daughterr has asthma n allergies n she keeps askin for a dog since she is da only child! I would like some advice on wat kind of dog would be ok. I have heard a toy cub yorkie and toy cup maltese is ok for her 2 have, is dat true?? Please help... would love to surprise her!!!! Thanks!!

mrsstilton i have asthma and having a dog made absolutely no difference. if she is allergic though try something else. i am not around my dog now and my asthma same same.

Simple answer...Never buy a dog for a child, full stop.They are not play toys,children can soon get fed up and then what happens? plus the fact that your daughter has asthma.Try and get her mind on a little pet there are plenty to choose from.

Mrs. Milton is obviously in America, as the very tiny breeds of dog are called 'cup' whatever, as they will fit into a tea cup, sometimes they are called 'tea cup dogs'. If they are so tiny they are not suitable for a child.
