ahh i get real bad period pains! is there any food or activities <natural, no poppin pills! well only paracetamol etc> that would help to relieve them!?!?

I have heard from a Taiwanese friend that in Taiwan it's common knowledge not to drink cold or iced drinks when you have your period because it makes the pain worse.
Exercise always works for me, as others have said.
A hot shower is very nice too when you have bad cramps.
Also, drinking tea made of raspberry leaf is helpful, as are relaxing herb teas like chamomile. There's an herb called "Cramp Bark" (go figure) that you could get at herbalists or health food stores) that you can make tea with, and it's supposed to be helpful.
