Not sure what that was, heartburn possibly, but it was the most painful thing i've ever felt (including breaking 2 toes on a plane).

Sitting minding my own business, and suddenly, WHAM! My entire upper stomach area goes into total spasm. I could feel it scrunching up and the muscles tweaking, and sharp pains.

Just about managed to make it upstairs, panting, and (sorry about this bit!), after parting company with some of my lunch, i now feel much better! Pain gone!

Didnt know what to do with myself for a while (about 20 minutes) there!

Anyone got any good suggestions what to do next time? Would drinking a cup of plain hot water help relax it?

P.S, no it wasnt indigestion (i know what thats like) as i didnt eat much for lunch, nor that quickly- i wasnt even feeling full when it happened.!

how old are you kira and what did you eat??
kira....it's gone now, so don't worry. I shouldn't take anything.
Sound like something that you have eaten. Cannot see that it is anything to do with your foot though.

Hi Puddi. i'm a mere 32. It wasnt a heart attack BTW! Symptoms not the same..

It was just a sandwich for lunch. Nothing amazing.

Thinking on it, it kind of reminded me of something that happened a few years ago, lower down in my digestive system- doctor prescribed Buscopan. That lasted days not minutes, and was intermittent but this was shorter and sharper.
kira....where did you get the sandwich and what was in it...was it pre-packed.
kira but was in the sarnie?
Question Author
Sqad. LOL. I doubt it was my foot. Unless i'd tried eating it!
I'm not usually an "ill" person, so sorry for posting 2 health ones in a matter of days!

I shall have to go back to posting about household things instead. Tips on perfecting skirting board painting anyone? LOL..

I'll see if my OH suffers at all, as we ate the same things today.
Question Author
Nope, i made the sarnies myself. Mine and his. All fresh stuff, cheese and pickle,no butter, on a freshly baked roll.. Exciting huh!

Part of it will be naked fear. Seriously, knock back a large brandy, it will calm you down. I am 32 as well, and it is an age at which you start to think about the possibility of termination.
Cheese and pickle.....my favourite.
Cheese dairy and others will make some people suffer from pain!!
Question Author
Thanks Gormless. Very reassuring. : )
there is DEATH around!! and he mentions cheese and pickle sandwiches!
puddi....the only pain that I suffer is being so far away from you.
Question Author
Sqad. I know. Cant beat a bit of nice mature cheddar, sharp enough to dry your mouth, with a good dollop of pickle to make your mouth water again!!

mmmmmmmm..
"and it is an age at which you start to think about the possibility of termination. "

Eh! gormless, she isn't pregnant you know.
steady squad lol!!!

Thx Puddi. I'm usually OK with dairy. So who knows. Maybe its an age thing! Life without cheese. How depressing!
kira u are getting older that when its starts cheese butter cream fried foods welcome to our world lol!!!
Somebody once said to me, as you get older, things hurt more. If you want a real experience, take a tablespoon of mashed habaneros with your boiled ham. It is fairly insidious, robust defaecation at 8am, then it goes quiet until about 2pm, then you get this devastating pain between the shoulder blades. Do you feel better now?
Question Author
Gormless, that sounds....... like something i'll leave to you to enjoy!
Trust me, i am familiar with pain, as anyone else who has ever used an epilator on their underarms or bikini line will be able to attest to!
